After
performing on Saturday, Joe flew to Dusseldorf,
Germany for another performance for Budo Gala
this time in Moers. Joe was treated to a lovely
lunch with Norbert Schiffer and Richard Vos
owners of Budo Gala alongside other performers
including Jean Dutelle of France. Then he had
some rest and freshened up in his hotel room
before arriving at the venue for rehearsal.
The show started at 5pm Joe closed the first
half off with a high flying open hand routine
which left the crowd wanting more. After a short
interval everyone took their seats for the second
half. Joe took the stage for the final time
to close out the show with a fast dynamic Nunchaku
display. After the show many members of the
audience asked for a photo with Joe and his
signature. Joe and Team Res would like to say
thank you to Richard and Norbert for giving
him the opportunity to perform on their show,
he fully enjoyed the experience.
After
a long weekend Joe returned back from his two
countries in two day tour on Monday afternoon.

powered Josh's technical tricking ability to
give Matt the win, Josh settled for a well deserved
2nd. All members entered into the Forms Grand

Little's Big Show") as Jack, Mateo Arias

them places they never quite imagined.

packed Disney Series, a must see for any future

On
Thursday 3rd March Team Resurrection travelled
to Ireland with members were Joe Hallettt
and Matthew Lightfoot for Europe’s most
prestigious tournament the Irish Open hosted
by Roy Baker. They arrived in Ireland Thursday
afternoon where they settled in at the hotel
and that evening registered for the tournament.
Friday saw the team events that were spectacular
to watch with fighters including Raymond Daniels
taking to the mats with his Team Allstars
who lost out in the final by the Hungarian
Team Kiraly. Saturday morning the team were
up bright and early as the junior forms sections
started that day, meaning it was Matthews
turn to represent Team Res. Matthew had tough
competition in his section but that didn't
faze him at all. Matthew performed to the
best of his ability with only minor stumbles
in his form that cost him dearly receiving
a second place congratulations Matthew. That
was it for Saturday on to Sunday. It was Joe's
turn to compete. Joe has not stepped on to
the competition mat for over 4years now and
he decided to make a return this year and
what better place to do it than the Irish
Open. He performed two action packed non stop
energy pumping forms which pleased the crowd
and the judges too, when he received a bronze
medal in his musical weapons section and more
importantly he was the highest ranked English
competitor in the section against the USA
and various other countries. Team Res came
away with great results despite missing their

Sunday 28th November 2010 |

Sunday
28th November was the day everyone has been
waiting for, it marked the biggest Street Dance,
Break Dance, Martial Arts Tricking and Forms
event of the year "Enter The Battle"
at the 02 Arena Indigo Room. Joe Hallett was
taking part in the "Triple Threat"
competition with fellow Team Resurrection member
Mikey French and BBoy Swifty they were called
MSJ. This was a totally new concept where crews
would be made up of 1x XMA Competitor 1x Martial
Arts Tricker and 1x BBoy they would perform
a routine and battle it off until the judges
decide an overall winner. Also on the show there
were performances from Akai, Steady (Flawless),
Justin Rhymes (Street Dance 3D), BBoy Ivan,
Big City Brains (Denmark) and the Shoalin Monks
(Britain’s Got Talent) the list goes on.
The whole show was presented by Kymberlee Jay.
It started off with the future showcase where
"The Future" the youngest and craziest
trio of young Break Dancers pulled off a stomping
routine. next they were joined on the stage
with Megan Abel, Paige Cerson, Jack Underwood
and Infinity’s very own Kyle MacDonald
each performing their own musical form and last
but not least Akai winner of "Got To Dance"
took the stage to perform. There was a Street
Dance competition where crews from all over
the UK came to the event to take home the cash
prize of 3K. After the results were in for the
Street Dance competition it was on with Triple
Threat. BBoy Ivan hosted this part of the show
flipping his way on to the stage and curtains
were drawn and then opened again with all the
crews around Bboy Ivan the crowd erupted. Each
crew then performed their routine. MSJ performed
an outstanding routine showing all their skills
off. But it wasn’t good enough to take
them to the crew battle finals. Next it was
XMA VS XMA, this was time for Joe to show off
his kicking skills and he did coming out all
guns blazing throwing some difficult combinations
pulling out all the stops using his Nunchaku
making the crowd get up on their feet and screaming
for more. When the judges voted, Joe didn't
take the win but he was pleased with his performance.
Many people from the audience did come up afterwards
and say they had him for the win which makes
it all much better he came there to entertain
the crowd and that was exactly what he did.
Overall the show was a great success; if you
missed it make sure to watch out for it hitting
your TV screens very shortly and on DVD. You
can also purchase Enter The Battle merchandise
at discounted prices from www.enterthebattle.co.uk
Joe
and MSJ would like to thank everyone for coming
